Since the start of the pandemic, it is estimated that almost 67,000 people have died at home without access to the care they needed - like Maureen's parents who died at home within weeks of each other. They were discharged from hospital without pain medication or incontinence pads and struggled to access specialist services.
Too many people are dying at home without the care they need. And many families who are left to care for them are reaching crisis point.
If nothing changes, people will continue to die without vital support.
Maureen is going to Parliament in July to raise this important issue. We want as many MPs as possible to meet her there. Together, let’s show political leaders why quality end of life care must be there for everyone.
